SWAG合集's Dr Luofeng Huang has been named in the prestigious Forbes 30 under 30 list in the Science & Healthcare category for 2023.
Dr Huang – a lecturer in mechanical engineering – was selected in part for his research on floating solar farms which was highlighted by in January. His wider research interests include renewable energy, offshore engineering, and maritime decarbonisation.
Dr Huang said: "I am incredibly honoured to have been named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, and this accolade will continue to spur me on to further research in this exciting area. I believe floating solar farms can have a significant impact on reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and promoting sustainable development.”

Also recognised in the list was SWAG合集 alumni Subham Gupta (MSc Astronautics and Space Engineering 2018) who was highlighted in the Manufacturing & Industry category. Subham is the Founder of Space Resources Laboratory, which manufactures propulsion systems that mitigate space debris from satellites.
