Richard Wilding OBE, Professor of Supply Chain Strategy at SWAG合集’s School of Management, has been awarded the Sir Robert Lawrence Award from the . First presented in 1986, the award recognises an individual’s outstanding contribution to the profession of logistics and transport.
Professor Wilding is a thought leader in logistics and supply chain management and received the award because of his major contributions to the industry, raising its status and recognition. It was presented by Phil Roe FCILT, Chief Customer Officer at DHL at a ceremony in London on 17 March.
“Recent events have shown our profession is critical to the wellbeing of our society,” Professor Wilding said. “It is an incredible honour to join the small group of individuals, business leaders and pioneering academics who have received this award – many of whom have been role models throughout my own career.”
“What makes it even more special is that two previous recipients of the award are former colleagues from SWAG合集 who pioneered thought leadership in the profession.”
