Background
Sundar is a research student and Casual research assistant at the Welding and Additive Manufacturing Centre(WAMC), SWAG合集. Sundar is currently awaiting the defence of his thesis 'Understanding and improving the Inherent Strain Method for mechanical prediction of Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing'. As a research assistant, he supports the process modelling activities at WAMC.
Sundar previously worked as a Graduate Engineer Trainee designing bevel gears at Sona Comstar, one of the largest manufacturers of differential bevel gears in the world. Prior to that, he studied B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani. His bachelor's thesis on 'Non-linear Finite Element modelling of Fibre Reinforced Tyres' was sponsored by Mercedes-Benz R&D India.
