Background
Ali completed his BSc in Mechanical Engineering majoring in metallurgy from Azad University of Iran in 2008. Then he worked in construction industry for few years before he studied Welding and Fabrication in South West London College. Later in 2014 he joined SWAG合集 to study Aircraft Vehicle Design to fulfil his desire and passion in Aerospace Engineering. In 2016, Ali joined the Orb Group LTD and have been involved in few research and start-up projects such as stablishing a FBO and aircraft maintenance centre in middle-east and later worked in NDB Technology in development of Nano Diamond Batteries. Ali has returned to Cranfield to pursue a PhD in Development of Advanced Friction Materials using Multi-Scale Simulation methods. His research is mostly concentrated in development of Carbon-Carbon composite friction brakes used in landing gear systems.
Current activities
Ali is currently a PhD student in Cranfield School of Aerospace Transport and Manufacturing. His research is mainly concentrated on development of Carbon-Carbon composite friction brakes used in landing gear systems. His research mostly investigates the possible Multi-Scale Simulation approaches to replace the current comprehensive experimental methods used in development and enhancement of such materials. He works closely with Airbus SAS team to better understand the current available methods and existing technologies within the industry and also be aware of the market demands.
