Getting involved in alumni activities broadens your professional network and keeps you connected to Cranfield, creating an empowering environment that encourages interaction between alumni, students, and faculty.
Many Cranfield alumni have given their time, skills, and energy to support our students and the University’s activities over the years. The rewards and fulfilment that volunteering can bring are immeasurable, as volunteer activities will broaden your professional network while helping Cranfield students to succeed. If you’re looking to expand your network and collaborate with others in your sector, city, or country, our global alumni community is here.
Connect with a global community
From Europe to Africa and Australasia, wherever you are in the world you can connect with fellow alumni by attending events and socials in your area.
Jens Krüger,(MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management 2008), the International Community President for Switzerland said:
“Continuing to live the Cranfield experience with the local alumni community has always been great fun. It is a very rewarding experience to see alumni coming to our gatherings, connecting instantly with others, and sharing their personal stories about how Cranfield changed their lives. One of the great aspects of the alumni network is that it brings together people from different fields with different professional backgrounds – so there is always something interesting to learn.”
To stay up to date with your relevant international community, make sure you to receive emails notifying you of their activities. You can also join their LinkedIn or WhatsApp groups to stay informed.
Organise a reunion
Reunions are a great way for you to meet up with former classmates and remember fond memories of your time at Cranfield. Not only does it provide an opportunity for alumni to reconnect, but reunions can also lead to new business or career opportunities. Our team can help you with event bookings, contacting Cranfield faculty and fellow alumni to attend your class activity. For further support and information please contact the Alumni team.
Celebrate our alumni’s achievements
Our School of Management alumni awards are designed to honour the achievements of our alumni, showcasing the impact of their incredible successes on the Cranfield community and globally. It is also a brilliant opportunity for you to nominate your classmates and fellow alumni who are making an extraordinary difference to others and their communities through their careers or research. Cranfield’s alumni webinar and events are a great way to learn more about a topic you are passionate about. Whether you want to return to Cranfield for an in-person event or tune into a webinar online, it is the perfect opportunity to learn from others, share your thoughts and opinions and connect with likeminded people.
Become a year representative for a class
Our School of Management (SOM) year representatives are a fantastic asset to the School and are the main point of contact for your class/group, and others if you wish. All our year reps act as an ambassador for SOM, encouraging your group to stay in contact with alumni to share their successes but also to help facilitate events and other useful communication. Recently, our year reps met in-person in London to discuss the new developments in SOM, hearing their thoughts and ideas for how alumni and the School can work together more effectively. If you would like to get involved, please email the Alumni team for further information.
