Polling experts, Sir Robert Worcester, founder of MORI and Paul Baines, Professor of Political Marketing at Cranfield School of Management, will reveal their insights into why the 2016 European Referendum went so wrong for David Cameron at the launch of ‘Explaining Cameron’s Catastrophe’.
'Explaining Cameron's Catastrophe’ is a comprehensive account of the 2016 referendum campaign. The authors have used expert analyses of scores of surveys and focus groups run by Ipsos MORI to make sense of the campaign result and David Cameron’s downfall.
The book also examines how we got to where we are today; the context, content and process; lessons from the 1975 referendum; what the Remain campaign did wrong; why the Leave campaign was so successful; voters’ attitudes; and the aftermath. The authors also discuss what the 2016 referendum result, and life without the EU, means for the future of the SWAGºÏ¼¯.
The launch of ‘Explaining Cameron’s Catastrophe’ will be held at Cranfield School of Management, 19 October between 6-8pm. Please RSVP to events@cranfield.ac.uk by Monday 16 October.
Explaining Cameron’s Catastrophe, written by Sir Robert Worcester, Professor Roger Mortimore, Professor Paul Baines, and Mark Gill, is available from all good bookshops and direct from .
