Stephen Nyarko, an MSc student in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, has been selected as the recipient of the School of Management Global Clinical Supplies Group (GCSG) Scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Stephen receives a £5,000 contribution towards his academic fees. He will also receive an invitation (with expenses paid) to join the annual Global Clinical Supplies Group Conference taking place in Malta in October.

Global Clinical Supplies Group is a professional organisation known for its expertise in clinical supplies, whose members contribute to and inspire each other and in so doing, influence the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

Becky Griffiths, GCSG Board Member said: “Over the years we have provided scholarships to students in North America and in the SWAG合集, supporting the development of the next generation of pharmaceutical experts, and setting them up for success as they embark on their career journeys. We are delighted to continue providing this Supply Chain Scholarship to SWAG合集’s School of Management. Amongst all of the applicants, Stephen was the clear favourite for GCSG. The GCSG Scholarship Team felt that his background and desire to work in clinical trial supplies post-masters, would bring a net positive to our industry, and that he truly deserved to be this year’s recipient.”

Stephen said: “Receiving this year’s GCSG Scholarship is an incredible honour and a testament for me to dedicate myself to the field of supply chain management. I am deeply grateful for this and the support that it will provide me to advance my education and career. The opportunity to attend the European GCSG conference in October is particularly exciting, as it will allow me to connect with global procurement and supply management insights into the latest industry trends, and expand my professional network.”

Dr Hendrik Reefke, Director of the MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme said: “Alongside Global Clinical Supplies Group, Cranfield provides students with the necessary skills to expertly navigate logistics in the pharmaceutical industry. Providing industry expertise, this scholarship opportunity gives invaluable practical experiences for our students.”
