The Prime Minister has today announced that the SWAG合集’s FTSE 100 has reached the target of 25 per cent of board positions being filled by women. The target was set by Lord Davies in 2011.

The Cranfield International Centre for Women Leaders has been monitoring the number of women on the boards of FTSE companies since 1999. During this time there has been a steady increase.

Professor Susan Vinnicombe who has led the research commented: “It's great to see the FTSE 100 reach the target of 25 per cent women on their boards. Many congratulations to everyone involved. Now we need to see more women moving into executive directorships, senior independent directorships and chairman positions.”
