Cranfield School of Management’s Professor Richard Wilding OBE has been appointed a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

The Professor of Supply Chain Strategy was given the highest level of award granted by the Academy, a British professional institution which promotes excellence in higher education. HEA Principal Fellowships are awarded to people who have displayed a sustained and effective record of impact at strategic level and have a wider commitment to academic practice and strategic leadership in teaching and enhancing the student learning experience in Higher Education.

Commenting on his PFHEA status, Professor Wilding said: “I am delighted to have been named a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. As an academic committed to enhancing the student experience I am passionate about creating effective learning environments.  My goal is to enable learners to take knowledge and create action in their workplace.”

Professor Wilding is the second academic at SWAG合集 to be awarded the prestigious Principal Fellowship (PFHEA) status and joins an elite group in the SWAG合集 to hold this Fellowship. Professor Lynette Ryals, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Education, is the other holder.

There have currently only been 674 Principal Fellowships awarded out of a total of over 84,000 Higher Education Academy Fellowships awarded internationally.
